Our Mission

Mission Statement

Bodywork Connections is dedicated to the enhancement & advancement of professional & ethical massage. Our goal is to provide the highest quality, most consistent, and dependable integrative massage therapy service. We provide a strategic approach to the most comprehensive, thorough and beneficial massage therapy techniques available. We value the opportunity to educate and inform clients; new & experienced with massage, to all the many benefits of massage therapy.

Philosophy

Bodywork Connections philosophy is to provide comprehensive integrative massage therapy care. The human body is a dynamic, interrelated machine; all areas & systems may appear to work independently but essentially coordinate together for the most ultimate performance of the body.  All aspects within the body need to be considered and addressed. Massage can be specific to an area of pain or discomfort (aka: Medical Massage) but we have found that by taking an “all encompassing” full-body approach, has demonstrated greater efficiency and quicker roads to recovery than the ‘pain specific’ care in addition to fewer reoccurrences.   Adequate time and attention is given to the area of complaint in each massage session, while addressing all the surrounding and supporting muscles.  Rejuvenating and preventing the muscles of compensation from over fatigue and injury.  We believe just as “spot reducing exercises are not the answer to weight loss, neither is pain specific work the answer to pain management or overall health & well being.  We prefer to be thorough & comprehensive for your best benefit.

Education and Training

Bodywork Connections is committed to staying on the cutting edge without going over or losing sight of the real need; the client’s goal. We require that each of our massage therapists have completed a minimum of 500 hours in training & certification, pass the National Certification Exam and be Licensed; in addition to a membership in a professional massage organization that provides and encourages at least 12 hours of continuing education annually. Plus the standard CPR/First Aid training certification.
Most importantly, we encourage and cultivate a massage practitioner to possess a sincere desire to enjoy their career and the benefits it offers to them, there by bringing their best, to You, the client.
